Call for Papers

The TMCE 2014 Symposium is soliciting full length papers (10-12 pages) from academic and industrial professionals. The Organizing Committee has prepared the web-hosted ConfMaster system for receiving academic, research and industrial papers. It is accessible on the link: tmce2014.confmaster.net.

You are required to use the MS-Word or Latex template of TMCE at formatting your paper. The paper template can be downloaded from the downloads section of this website.

A good TMCE paper is supposed (I) to give an thorough introduction to the investigated topic, (II) identify the concrete research and/or development problems, (III) introduce the research hypothesis, (IV) discuss the applied methodology of the research/development work, (V) provide a comprehensive overview on the state of the art, (VI) present the findings/results, (VII) provide conclusions underpinned by the findings and future research opportunities.

If you intend to submit a paper without having submitted an abstract earlier, please register yourself in ConfMaster as author and you will be able to upload your paper. You can indicate, which is the best fitting session to your paper, by the selection of the first keyword and with the second and third keywords you can highlight additional relevant topics. If none of the available keywords describes the topic of your paper please select the keyword “Unspecified additional topic”.

In case you have already submitted an abstract, please upload your paper under the same PAPER_ID that was assigned to your submitted abstract. The name of the session that has provisionally been sorted your abstract is shown by the first keyword in the conference management system. Please do not change this keyword. The keywords will later on be used to assign proper reviewers to your papers. The papers will be sent out to reviewers by the Program Committee and authors will be notified about the acceptance of their paper for TMCE 2014 before November 15, 2013.

Additional information related to the Call for papers

The series of TMCE Symposia has a dual goal in terms of knowledge dissemination. On the one hand, it intends to provide forum for presenting the latest results of the research, development, and education work of the participants and discussing them with research fellows and other experts. On the other hand, it intends to archive the best results in international peer reviewed journals with high impact factors.

Realization of these two goals largely depends of the quality of the presentations and the papers, respectively. Thanks to the excellent contributors and the rigorous peer review processes, the TMCE symposium has managed to achieve a high standard in the presentation quality as well as in the scientific novelty and contributions of the papers accepted for publication. More than 40 per cent of the total number of podium papers submitted to TMCE 2012 could be considered for archiving in special issues of high-impact journals (after extending and adapting them to the requirements and character of the journals).

A new opportunity for journal publication will be the TMCE-related new open access journal that will be launched in the second half of 2013. The bottom line at selecting papers is that they should address relevant topics and their contents should be worth archiving.

Authors who could not submit their abstracts in time still have the possibility, and are encouraged, to submit their full papers for review. However, please consider its relevance to one of the sessions indicated in the Preliminary Session Plan.
